The Irish Council for Civil Liberties has urged the Government not to allow publicans to undermine the Equal Status Act by refusing to serve Travellers.

The Vintners Federation of Ireland has threatened to introduce a blanket ban on Travellers if the Government doesn’t deal with alleged abuses of equality legislation.
