Ireland running out of workers
Ireland needs at least 20,000 workers if the National Development Plan is to be completed.
It is estimated that this amount of workers will now be needed from EU applicant countries over the next ten years.
There are now calls to simplify the working regulations for non-EU workers as well.
The Policy Director of the Chambers of Commerce, Declan Martin, said that Ireland is running out of workers and needs the extra amount to fulfil development plans over the next decade.
