No cutbacks in agriculture - yet

The Minister for Agriculture, Joe Walsh, says the Department of Finance has not demanded cutbacks in his department.

Launching his Department’s Annual report for 2001, Minister Walsh also revealed that if Foot and Mouth disease had not been contained here, GDP could have been reduced by €5.6billion.
