The funerals of four people who died in Sunday morning’s boating tragedy off the Co Wexford coast are due to take place in New Ross today.

The funerals of four people who died in Sunday morning’s boating tragedy off the Co Wexford coast are due to take place in New Ross today.

Around 2,500 people attended the removal of 14-year-old Mark Doyle, his father Seamus Doyle and grandfather Jim Cooney last night.

Hundreds more also gathered for the separate removal of John Cullen a short time later.

Five people died and another five were rescued after the Pisces fishing vessel sank in calm waters around 1.5 miles off Fethard-on-Sea.

The fifth victim, 66-year-old Martin Roche, was buried yesterday.
