Labour calls for IFA to receive funding
The Labour Party has called on the Minister for Agriculture to explain why no funding has been made available to fund the presence of the Irish Farmers Association at the earth summit in South Africa next month.
The Party says a number of other non-Governmental agencies have received funding for the trip. Labour spokesman on Agriculture, Jack Wall, says it is bizarre and he will be seeking an explanation from the Minister for Agriculture Joe Walsh and Minister of State, Martin Cullen.
