Survey shows 6% rise in house prices

Average house prices in Ireland have risen by almost 6% so far this year, according to a study by the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.

The study, conducted in association with UCD’s centre for real estate research, found that the average price for a new house in the first six months of 2002 was €166,200.
