A 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a punishment-style attack in the North.

A 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a punishment-style attack in the North.

Police say the man received a gunshot wound in the left leg in the incident in the Sunnylands area of Carrickfergus.

The incident happened after 7pm last night.
