Hillwalker treated for hypothermia after rescue

A hillwalker is being treated for a suspected broken ankle and mild hypothermia after being rescued from the Mourne Mountains.

A hillwalker is being treated for a suspected broken ankle and mild hypothermia after being rescued from the Mourne Mountains.

The alarm was raised at 9pm last night when the man fell in the Annalong area in South Down.

He was taken off the mountain at 4am this morning after a seven-hour rescue effort.
