O’Cuiv announces review of Western Development Commission

Eamon O’Cuiv, the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, has announced plans to begin a review of the Western Development Commission.

Eamon O’Cuiv, the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, has announced plans to begin a review of the Western Development Commission.

The Commission was established to make recommendations on infrastructural development in the west.

Minister O’Cuiv said the review will focus on the overlapping of the commission’s work with that of other bodies.

He said he intends to bring proposals on the matter to cabinet by the autumn.
