Gardai search for drowned woman's family

A post mortem is being carried out on the body of a woman who drowned yesterday in West Cork.

It is believed that the woman was from Dublin. Gardai are still making attempts to contact her family.

She was found on Travara beach in Eyeries. Her body is being examined in Cork University Hospital.

Meanwhile, a sea rescue team brought a family of six to safety this afternoon when their boat sailed onto rocks.

The Baltimore lifeboat towed the family in the boat off the rocks. They were then brought to safety on dry land in southwest Cork.
