Gardai hunt for Monaghan ATM raiders

Gardai are hunting for raiders behind a botched robbery on an ATM in Clones in Co Monaghan.

The raiders pulled up in a lorry and car at a Maxol Station in the town at 5am this morning.

They rammed the wall and managed to lift the cash machine onto the lorry.

Gardai pursued the gang but they dumped the lorry, complete with cash filled machine, about three miles from the scene.

The raiders escaped in the waiting car.
