Sports bodies may take legal action

The GAA, the FAI and the IRFU have all indicated that they will seek to legally challenge the Government’s list of protected sporting events.

The list was published last night following a decision earlier this month by the FAI to sell the rights for the Republic’s home internationals to Sky TV.
