IRFU raises concerns about Govt TV proposal

The IRFU has voiced concerns about the Government's intention to include Ireland's Six Nations matches in the list of sports that will be broadcast free in terrestrial television.

The statement said: "The Irish Rugby Football Union is concerned that the Government is considering listing Ireland’s matches in the Six Nations Championship, thus severely diminishing the Union’s negotiating powers for its most valuable asset.
