Gun held to woman's head in botched car-jacking

Two car thieves held a gun to a woman’s head during an attempted hijacking in east Belfast early today.

The woman was sitting in her car at traffic lights in Castlereagh at around 1.30am when two masked men armed with a handgun and a baton approached her.

One of the men pointed the gun at her and ordered her out of the car, but she managed to take her keys with her and the thieves fled empty-handed.
