UN peace-keeping mandate in Bosnia renewed

The UN peace-keeping mandate in Bosnia has been renewed, following the UN security council’s vote to exempt US troops from prosecution in the new international criminal court.

The compromise deal is aimed at saving peacekeeping missions, after the US threatened to abolish them if its troops could face prosecutions for war crimes.
