Sligo nurses protest working hours

Two Sligo hospitals are faced with protests today from emergency services nurses over rostered working hours.

Picket lines are growing outside St Columbia's Hospital and St John's Hospital.

The Psychiatric Nurses Association are insisting that an 11th hour offer to deal with the roster problem was too late.

The general secretary of the group - Des Kavanagh - argues the North Western health board must put patient interests first.
