Ahern defends IDA chief’s comments on Nice

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has defended the chief executive of the IDA after he appeared to call for a ‘yes’ vote in the upcoming referendum on the Nice Treaty.

Campaigners for a ‘no’ vote said Sean Dorgan’s intervention in the debate was inappropriate as the IDA is a semi-state body.
