Finlay to head Referendum Commission

Former Chief Justice Thomas Finlay is to head up the Referendum Commission for the Nice Treaty.

The Commission, which was established today, will provide information to the electorate on the pros and cons of the treaty ahead of the autumn vote.

The Commission's job is also to promote public awareness of the treaty and to encourage the electorate to cast their vote.
