Gardai investigate lap dancing club

A report in today’s Sunday Times reveals that Gardai are investigating lap dancing clubs in Ireland.

The move comes after a man’s claim that his credit card mysteriously ran up a bill of €3,500 after a visit to Strings lap dancing club in Dublin.

After the man reported the incident to Gardai they raided the club, finding video tapes of customers with dancers in private rooms.

Gardai are now warning customers not to lose sight of their credit cards if they use them in the dance clubs.

Gardai are now questioning club owners as to the nature of the recordings.

A spokesman for Strings said that there was no truth behind any of the allegations against the club.
