Gardai name crash victims

Gardai have named the two people who died in a road accident last night in Louth.

A man and a woman in the accident died following a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Ballymascanlon, north of Dundalk.

The motorcyclist was 36-year-old John McGurke from Castletowncooley in Dundalk.

The passenger in the car was Joan McKinley from the Port road in Dundalk. The woman was married and in her late 30s.
