Ahern to meet farm organisations

The Taoiseach is due to meet the IFA and the ICMSA later today to discuss what the two organisations say is a crisis in farming.

The IFA has said that thousands of farm families could be forced out of the industry this year due to falling prices, rising costs and the bad weather.
