A South African man of limited mental ability has been given a four year suspended sentence by Judge Patrick McCartan for having cannabis valued at €77,000 at Dublin Airport.

Grant Alexiou, aged 28, from Johannesburg pleaded guilty in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possession of the drugs on December 13, 2001 with intent to supply.
