Student jobs are underpayed, says FG

It has been revealed that the Government is not paying students the minimum wage. The Government's student summer jobs scheme does not give students the minimum rate according to Fine Gael TD Michael Ring.

It is thought now that the 6,000 students who have been accepted onto the scheme this summer are been payed two euro less an hour than the Government implemented minimum rate of €5.79.
