Guerin murderer's father freed

Kevin Meehan, 63, whose son Brian was jailed for life for the Veronica Guerin murder, was today freed by the Court of Criminal Appeal after serving two years of a five year sentence for money laundering.

The conviction was quashed on the grounds that the charges Kevin Meehan faced were unsafe.
