Govt urges ASTI to reconsider pay offer

Education Minister Noel Dempsey has appealed to the Association of Secondary Teachers to accept the Government’s offer of €34 per hour for supervision and substitution duties.

These duties were originally carried out on a voluntary basis, but the ASTI asked its members to withdraw from them as part of its campaign for a 30% pay rise.
