Garda inspectorate plans to take several months

Justice Minister Michael McDowell has admitted that it will be several months before he will even be able to outline plans for an independent garda inspectorate.

"It’s going to take time. It’s going to take months to portray for my cabinet colleagues the nature and extent of the reforms that are necessary," he said.
