Gardai name Co Mayo accident victim

Gardai have named the man who was killed in a road accident in Co Mayo at about 9.30pm last night.

He has been identified as 30-year-old Alan Fitzgerald from Kilmaine, Co Mayo.

He died when the car he was driving spun out of control and crashed into a wall near Loughamboy in Kilmaine.

He was declared dead at the scene of the incident and his body was taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
