Green Party voices opposition to Treaty
The Green Party is opposing the Nice Treaty as the Government gets ready to introduce a second referendum.
Trevor Sargent's party are dismissing the Treaty even after the Government secured neutrality for Ireland if the referendum is accepted by the people.
EU leaders agreed to the declaration of neutrality earlier at the Seville summit in Spain.
The Green Party is planning to run a no campaign when Nice is put to the people again. An MEP for the party claims that the declaration is a propaganda stunt.
Patricia McKenna maintains that the upcoming referendum doesn't address the concerns that exist in relation to Ireland's neutral status. She is warning the Irish people that the Seville summit is just a propaganda stunt.
