Martin agreeing terms of reference of Hep C inquiry
Health Minister Micheal Martin and two pressure groups are reported to have agreed most of the terms of reference for an inquiry into the latest Hepatitis C scandal.
The pressure groups, Positive Action and Transfusion Positive, are seeking the inquiry after revelations that 28 people who contracted Hepatitis C from contaminated blood products were not made aware of their conditions for up to two years.
The Government has agreed to establish the inquiry and some final amendments were made to the terms of reference at a meeting last night.
It's believed a number of minor issues reportedly remain unresolved.
