Reid: We won't step in if you resign

Northern Secretary John Reid has made it clear that if UUP leader and First Minister David Trimble threatens to resign again, the British government will not step in to suspend the Northern Assembly.

Mr Trimble said yesterday he might resign as First Minister again if the British government fails to act following allegations of IRA weapons testing in Colombia.
