Gardaí appeal for witnesses after stabbing
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a 26-year-old man died following a stabbing in Cork city this evening.
Gardaí were called to a residential house on Tower Street, off Barrack Street, at around 5pm. The victim was removed by ambulance to the South Infirmary Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 6.03pm.
The man - who is believed to be from the Cork area - has not yet been named.
Gardaí have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident, according to a Garda spokeswoman.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses. Gardaí at Anglesea Street are dealing with the incident.
The State Pathologist's office has been notified.
