Irish pilgrims in Rome to celebrate Padre Pio

More than 2,000 Irish pilgrims are in St Peter's square in Rome for the canonisation of Padre Pio.

Irish prayers will be offered for Padre Pio as the Pope is awarding the Italian Friar with a sainthood. Padre Pio is the only person in the world to have experienced stigmata.
