Ahern says Nice Treaty is his priority

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said that securing a ‘yes’ vote to the Nice Treaty is his Government’s number one priority.

Mr Ahern was speaking in Finland, where he is seeking Scandinavian support for an EU declaration that the terms of the Nice Treaty will not affect Ireland’s military neutrality.
