Irish MEP Patricia McKenna has criticised her colleagues in the European Parliament for failing to endorse a total ban on the sale of cosmetics which have been tested on animals.

MEPs voted today to ban all new animal-tested cosmetics introduced to the market after 2005, but existing products which have been tested on animals will still remain on sale.
