South East Incinerator to receive Government funding

A contentious incinerator in the South East is receiving backing by half of the region’s local authorities.

Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford City Councils are said to be preparing to back the incinerator as part of the Waste Management Strategy, which will see the incinerator built within the next six years.
