Kenny: FG poor showing behind us

New Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has said his party's poor showing in the recent election is now behind them.

The Mayo TD said: "The road ahead is an uphill one, but we are now a rejuvenated party and we look forward to providing a strong opposition in the Dail."

He continued: "In order to form a strong opposition, it will be necessary to discuss political tactics with other parties."
