Kenny says FG leadership vote crucial

Mayo TD Enda Kenny, the front-runner in the Fine Gael leadership race, has described today’s vote as a crucial decision for his party.

Mr Kenny is battling against three colleagues - Richard Bruton, Phil Hogan and Gay Mitchell - for the leadership position vacated by Michael Noonan after Fine Gael lost more than 20 seats in last month’s election.
