Dublin clampers to resume unofficial strike

Dublin clampers are expected to resume their unofficial strike action this morning.

However the company - Central Parking Systems - is warning that emergency crews will be out on the streets to clamp illegally parked vehicles.

Almost 100 employees went on unofficial strike last week.

Many of the striking clampers are former council employees and there are concerns that many of their former colleagues will refuse to pass the pickets.

If that happens then street cleaning, refuse collection and other services could be effected.
