The woman’s mini-marathon has got off to a successful start in the capital.

40,000 people are thought to be taking part today in the 10km race.

Traffic restrictions will take place throughout Dublin during the day as racers head out to the suburbs and back.

Areas affected will include Merrion Square, Leeson Street and Ballsbridge in the south of the city.
