Noonan replacement expected to be chosen next week

Fine Gael is expected to choose its new leader next Wednesday, the day before the Dail resumes.

There had been speculation that the party would wait until after the Seanad elections to pick a replacement for Michael Noonan, who stepped down after Fine Gael’s disastrous showing in the recent general election.
