Martin formally establishes Office of Tobacco Control

Health Minister Micheal Martin has signed an order formally establishing the Office of Tobacco Control, a statutory body which will advise the minister on tobacco control measures.

Health Minister Micheal Martin has signed an order formally establishing the Office of Tobacco Control, a statutory body which will advise the minister on tobacco control measures.

The order will come into effect on Friday, which is World No Smoking Day.

The Office of Tobacco Control was established two years ago on an administrative basis and is based in Clane, Co Kildare.
