Dana slams European Commission over EU Government plans

Connaught-Ulster MEP Dana Rosemary Scallon is hitting out at European Commission plans to introduce an EU Government.

The administration would have its own president and dictate policy over taxation and other areas.

But the Independent MEP says a European Government would operate without the Parliamentary consent of member states.

"None of us want to leave Europe, none of us are against Europe, but we want a democratic Europe. No law should be passed on a European level before it is first debated and agreed upon on a National basis."
