Four constituencies to resume counting this am
Four constituencies resume counting this morning after adjourning overnight with the PD’s expected to bring their tally up to six seats.
Six recounts have also been triggered with just one vote separating two sitting Limerick FG deputies.
The counting of ballots resume in Laois-Offaly this morning. Tom Parlon is expected to comfortably take a fifth seat for the PD's. It's predicted his party colleague Tim O'Malley will reclaim the seat that was left vacant by the retirment of Des O'Malley in Limerick East.
In Galway West Michael D Higgins of Labour looks likely to return along with FF Frank Fahey but all eyes are on Margaret Cox's attempts to unseat FG Pádraic McCormack.
Longford - Roscommon remains the only county in the country to seat any TD's. FG's Denis Naughten is set to get the first seat there.
