Recount for Cavan-Monaghan
A full recount has been called for Cavan-Monaghan and will go ahead on Tuesday morning at 9am.
The recount was sought by incumbent FG TD Andrew Boylan, as there was only a narrow margin separating him and his running mate Seymour Crawford.
A decision was made at around 5.15am today.
Independent candidate Paudge Connolly is the surprise story of the constituency. His victory follows the success of FF’s Brendan Smith and Dr Rory O’Hanlon, along with SF’s Caoimghin O’Caolain who retained his seat.
