Noonan plans to stamp out sleaze and clean up politics

Fine Gael will establish a permanent anti-corruption commission to stamp out sleaze in public life if elected to government.

Outlining ten points to improve ethics in Government, party leader Michael Noonan said Fine Gael in power would also reform the libel laws and would “do away” with state appointments based on cronyism.
