Post mortem on torso recovered from sea

A post mortem is due to be carried out on a decomposed torso recovered from the Co Mayo coastline.

The human remains were taken from the sea at Knockshambo near Erris Head last night, after being spotted by a local man.

There is speculation it could be that of a Latvian man working in the area, who was swept off a nearby pier in bad weather earlier this year.
