Labour say a decade is needed to develop infrastructure
The Labour party is maintaining that a full decade is needed to bring infrastructure up to the required standard.
Ruarí Quinn says that this amount of time is needed to gain a world standard with regards to Ireland's infrastructure.
The Labour party are blaming the Fianna Fail-PD coalition over the last five years for losing out on the opportunity to establish sound infrastructure in this country.
However, Mr Quinn insists that with Labour in power all this would change.
Labour are pushing for a spatial plan, a cabinet minister and a new department.
They would implement these new government areas in infrastructure if elected.
