Workplace injuries fall in 2001, says Safety Authority

The number of workplace injuries in 2001 was lower than the same figure for the previous year, according to a report by the Health and Safety Authority.

The report also showed that workplace fatalities were down from 70 to 60 in 2001.

HSA director general Tom Beegan said this is an “appalling indictment on everyone concerned”.
