Trade unionists held a rally in Dublin last night in support of Mick O’Reilly, who was sacked as Irish secretary of the ATGWU last week.

Mr O’Reilly was dismissed by the Union’s head office in London for alleged misconduct, but representatives at last night’s meeting called for his reinstatement and a commitment from the parent union, the TGWU, to consult with members on issues affecting the Irish branch.
