Quinn supports quota for women TDs

The Labour Party leader Ruairi Quinn says that he would support the introduction of a quota system if it would allow more women to be elected to Dáil Eireann.

The Labour leader says that his party already operates a gender balance policy in relation to its national council but he says that the electoral methods of other countries show that quotas can work.
